Assault Weapons ban could have prevented shooting
This is what I just heard this said on the radio by a spokesperson of the Brady Anti Gun gang.
Excuse me, but I thought the assault weapons band was for the much feared black rifles, not handguns. And seeing how the clown who did the shootings was not a US citizen the guns he did use were likely illegal anyway.

First of all, the shooter didn't use a rifle with a bayonet lug to commit these murders. The Clinton gun ban wouldn't have done a DAMN THING since 9mm pistols were NEVER BANNED and were WIDELY AVAILABLE during the years of the gun ban.
Realistically, the only thing the Clinton ban on standard-capacity magazines would have done was make it a *little more expensive* for the murderer to obtain 15 round magazines.
Its not like you couldn't find these for sale, you just had to look a little harder, pay a little more, or (gasp!) break the law to get them.
Alternatively, he might have instead opted to carry a few extra reduced-capacity 10 rounders to make up for it.
Where Clinton REALLY f'd this one up is by creating the "gun free school zone", a concept that has repeatedly allowed criminals with murderous intent to enter places with students secure in the knowledge that nobody around will be able to stop them since they are all disarmed.0 -

The talking heads are already saying the president is at fault for allowing the Ban to expire, and they are also calling for the firing of the College president, and the Campus Police Chief.[:(!]
