Safe place to live
This happened on a flight preparing to depart from Houston for New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jack was sitting on the plane when a guy took the seat beside him.
The guy was a wreck, pale, hands shaking, moaning in fear, biting his nails.
"What's the matter?" Jack asked.
"I've been transferred to New Orleans, and there's crazy people there.
They've got lots of shootings, gangs, race riots, drugs and the highest crime rate in the country."
Jack replied, "I've lived in New Orleans all my life. It's not as bad as the media says. Just find a nice home, go to work, mind your own business, enroll your kids in a nice school and it's as safe
as anywhere in the world. I guarantee it."
The guy relaxed and stopped shaking and said, "Oh, thank you.
I've been worried to death. But if you live there and say it's OK, I'll take your word for it. What do you do for a living?"
"Me?" said Jack. "I'm a tail gunner on a Budweiser truck."

Living in Houston is good training for a tour in New Orleans. I did go to the World's Fair in New Orleans many years ago and thought it was pretty nice, of course that was pre-Katrina. I heard there are a lot of oppurtunaties in New Orleans right now for those willing to work hard. 0 -
New Orleans is a very safe city. After all Mayor Nagin confiscated all the guns. 0
