i completely understand hunting, althought ive never hunted. But what i dont understand is why anyone would want to shoot a cheetah, leopard or a baboon.

Shooting a baboon is like swatting a fly, they are both annoying pest. Baboon's are also very hard on crops and the natural area, there number need to be kept in check. For the others, they are great trophies and a Leopard can be very dangerous which makes for an exciting hunt. 0 -
what about shooting a giraffe? 0 -
Same thing with a giraffe, there numbers need to be kept in check for the good of the heard, giving people the oppertunity to hunt them is the best way to control those numbers. Also if you are going on a once in a lifetime hunt to Africa wouldn't it be nice to take a trophy from each of the great African animals? 0 -
Giraffe backstrap!!!!![:p][:p][:p][:p][:p] MMMMMMMMMM!!!! 0 -
I hope there's nowhere in the world you can shoot a cheetah legally!
I don't know much about leopards but if there's a sustainable harvest I don't oppose it. I'm not interested in doing it, but if it floats somebody's boat...well, ok. I know lions have large enough populations that lion hunts are feasible. Again, not interested, myself.
Baboons probably are big pests in some places. I imagine that in those places, they're kind of like prairie dogs: the shooters would be welcomed.0 -
In one of Capstick's books he describes an incident where baboons kill attack a mother and a native infant. Apparently baboons can be very aggressive towards humans when the situation favors them.
They are considered pests and also destroy crops and herd animals.
The leopard seems to adapt to civilization and has a reputation for being fond of dogs and baboons.
Concerning hunting it is a personal choice. One has to trust the game management people to establish bag limits which both sustain the population and also encourage the economic benefit to the local area.0 -
One monkey stealed my glasses once....Those lil suckers arms have an amazingly loong reaching radius even through a barcage [:(!]
But to be fair a friends female monkey were actually really sweet. However his male blodthirsty psychopatic monkeys.....
They are probably ten times more dangerous than a dog with rabies.
Hmm idea ! Get some monkeys to guard your premises ?0 -

We already have monkeys guarding this country. Many of them voted in favor of amnesty for illegals.0
