Need help with front site that came off...
I went shooting and the front site came off the Thompson 1927. I can slide it back into the slot (on the compensator) but it is loose now and just comes out easily. Is this something I might be able to fix myself or should I just bring it to the shop?

I have fixed loose sights several times with red Loctite. 0 -
either of these will work,
give the site a good smack on the flat sides, just enough to widen the ends to tighten it up, will take several test fits/another smack with the hammer to get right.
OR
take a small punch and put divets in the front and back of the dovetail on the comp to tighten it0 -
Duct tape. The everyday handyman's tool of choice. 0
