How Many Nukes
After reading about the B52 Nuke fiasco I got to wondering how many of our Nukes would it take to destroy the united states?
One Nuke maybe destroy a small city but couldn't destroy an entire state and there are 50 states with several cities.

A 30 Mega ton would incinerate an entire major city and kill a who;e big bunch of folks.

I imagine that a few of the big bombs, while only destroying a few cities outright, would cause massive damage by fallout if dropped where prevailing winds would carry the fallout towards major population centers 0
