It's best known for bananas. But US prosecutors accuse Chiquita Brands International of doing business with a terrorist organization. They've charged the company with working alongside united self defense forces of Colombia. It's a right wing group the US has labeled a designated terrorist organization. Chiquita has yet to comment on the accusations. A hearing is set for Monday.

  git-r-done....I think Chiquita had to pay those right wing terrorists just to protect their workers in the field. I saw a report that they were paying a $25 million fine. I think though, in the minds of the executives at Chiquita, that they feel the money they paid to the terrorists was worth it not to kill their workers. Tough call for the execs and I guess that's why they get the big bucks. Can you imagine the outcry from the left if those right wing terrorists had killed a few workers. I can see the headlines now:
  CHIQUITA EXECUTIVES KNEW THEIR WORKERS WERE IN DANGER AND DIDN'T HELP THEM!!. I'll still continue to eat their bananas. Beach
