Soda machine hogs annoy me
So I'm at Baja Fresh for lunch and it has one of those 8 position soda machines. The guy in front of me is filling Coke - the end tap. I want Diet Coke, 2 taps away, so I walk in next to him and fill my Diet Coke, of course he is pretty much hogging the whole machine.
Why do people do this? The system was designed to allow 8 people to fill at once. When I am filling, I stand as far to the side as I can so that I can give room to the next person. Some people seem to feel as though they own the whole machine when they are filling.
The worse issue with these machines is the people that will stand there "in line" and wait for the person that is there to finish whether there is room next to them or not. So am I supposed to wait for them too?? I don't and go around them which is viewed as "cutting" the line by some but why should I have to wait for their timidness.

I too am bothered by these people. It typically happens when I hold the door for them and they are too self-absorbed to return the favor, choosing instead to run to the front of the line.[:)] 0 -
You know as well as anyone that the machine is not wide enough for eight people to stand shoulder to shoulder and fill their cups. Two at most. excercise a little patience. 0 -

How do you feel about people at the "10 item express line" that have eleven?

On that topic, how about the people who insist on walking at a snail's pace, yet do so six or seven people abreast so you can't get by them? Or, people who are waiting for a parking space, and stop in the MIDDLE of the aisle so that nobody can get by? I'm not talking when there's danger of a car backing up -- the people still occupying the space are unloading their grocery cart still. 0 -

That one really gets to me. They usually wait so long that could have been in the store already, but nope they can't walk a few extra feet. It might kill them[;)]. And it really ticks me off when the person is my age and the 70 year old man behind them has to park at the end of the row because of them.[V]

Now I see those people and I walk to a car and stand there fiddling with my keys. Usually it is a car in the prime spot close to the door. I will take a while playing with my keys until they start getting annoyed then I will put my keys back in my pocket and walk to my car at the far end of the lot where i have no trouble finding a spot.0 -

i usually just Blair the horn until they move. if the people are getting into the car thats one thing but if there still loading the car up thats usually a 3 min wait.

Went to a bar last year and the bar girl was using the handicap spot as the lot was full. She had no placard. My parent's came in and have a placard and no spot to park. Bar owner says tough.0 -

The 8 stations are not for 8 different people, they are for 8 different flavors. Would it ruin your day even more to stand there for 20 seconds while they finished filling their cup? There is a thing called first come, first serve.0 -

Yes for sure 8 people are not going to fit at once. But certainly 2 can fit. This is not a case of me not having patience or "waiting my turn". The people that do this are AZZHOLES. They intentionally block the whole machine so that they are the only ones that can use it. I get angry at inconsiderate assbaskets that think of nothing but themselves.
This is the DC Metro area - it is full of this type of inconsiderate behavior.0 -

I am standing in line waiting patiently. The guy behind me always wants to crowd forward and get closer , nervously talking to himself and complaining ... Then I like to let somebody ahead of me courteously cause they only have one item.. just to piss off this .. I am more important than you guy behind me. Patience is a virtue.. 0 -

It doesn't bother me at all and I do try to take up as little space as I can, when I fill my own - so that others can fill theirs if they want.
Often you have a couple of 1-2 Coke-taps, 1-2 Pepsi-taps, same with dietvariants..
If I'm tapping Pepsi - and you want Coke or diet.. go ahead and tap.
It's right you have 8 different taps - but for 8 different variants of soda. - or whatever it's set up to be.
But try finding 8 people to stand side by side, who can actually fit in front of the machine - and who happens to want whatever is in the tap that is not being used.0 -
I hate it when the big fat guy in front of me lets out this wickedly wet, long fart.
It kind of ruins my entire meal. Plus, I'm on the ground twitching and stuff, so that ruins the meals of others.
