CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. - A rabid raccoon attacked a boy and ran into his house, where it was later found eating the family dog's food, state police in Chester County said. Police said the 5-year-old boy was playing in his back yard in West Bradford Township on Tuesday afternoon. Police said the boy climbed up to his deck and the raccoon followed him up and bit him.
The family dog broke through a screen to get out, but the raccoon eluded the dog and then used the opening to get inside the house.
Police said when troopers arrived, the raccoon was inside the house, eating out of the dog's food dish.
Troopers used a trash can to catch the animal, took it into the back yard and shot it. The raccoon's body was taken to a Pennsylvania Game Commission lab, where it tested positive for rabies.
The boy was treat and released from Chester County Hospital. He will continue to receive treatment because the animal was rabid.

Not to be insensitive to the boy, but....
Are we sure it wasn't a Zombie raccoon? Was it a mutated rabies strain, similar to the Rage virus in 28 days/weeks later? The big outbreak may be coming, stock up on ammo, the infection may have commenced.0 -
Most likely one of Herr Goring's "Fifth Columnist" rabid NAZI raccoons.

If you see a raccoon in broad daylight, better grab the pistol! 0 -
Here's yet another example of why gun control is stupid. Every home should have a 12-gauge for this exact instance. 0
