My VOTE counted today

Nix will face Democratic incumbent Dick Hickman after he won the G.O.P. Primary for Mayor on Tuesday with a 189-115 victory over Daniel Gagye. Nix carried Pleasant Township Precients 1, 3 and 4 while Precient 2 ended up in a 35-35 tie. Nix won Pleasant One 39-28, Pleasant Three 71-33 and Pleasant Four 44-19. City Council members Ed Nagle, Gary Crum, Mac Friedlander and David Martin along with Clerk-Treasurer Deb Twitchell all ran unopposed on the G.O.P. ballot. With only one contested race, the voter turn out was very light. Out of the 4,967 registered voters in Angola, only 318 cast ballots which comes out to a 6.4% voter turnout.







I'm in Precient 2 and had I not voted Harry would have lost that one, instead he tied. He would have still won, however he only won by 74 votes. I was thinking about not bothering to vote thinking he would win with or without my vote. Then decided I would and I'm glad. I did I was 1 of 318 that did bother to vote today.

    Turnout was pretty bad here. I voted around 7am and there was only me and one other voter at the polls. Pretty sad.

    With only one race to vote on I can some what see why lots of people stayed away.

    Still kind of sad, it's not like it took a long time to vote. [:(]

    I like low turnout.....it means my vote counts more

    To all the welfare bandit, disabilty milking, high school dropout, crack who**s out there, I say this....

    Denver's mayoral elections are non-partisan.

    Of course, that's easy when all the candidates involved are liberals.
