Agreed. Ammo is ammo. So long as it is reliable, that's all that matters in the end.

I can't imagine being sued for shooting someone with reloaded ammo.

Twenty years ago I would have agreed with both of you. About that time I got ahold of a copy of Duncan Long's Combat Ammunition Everything You Need to Know. Duncan covered all the bases with perfected and devastating pistol, rifle, and shotgun rounds. This ammo that you could make yourself absolutely DID NOT conform to the Geneva and Hague Conventions.

Now if that ammo was used today I could see in a civil suit someone saying that having used that ammo, pain, suffering, and grevious wounds were intentionally inflicted. Since the target would probably be dead, that he suffered tremendously immediately prior to his demise.

With storebought ammo, it would be easy enough to say that you asked for ammo and MagSafe or Corbon is what you were handed. With reloads however, they were taylored to your specific intent which was to inflict said pain and suffering.

If you can find that book, take a look at some of the stuff. It DOES do what is claimed and is way more potent that anything commercially.

Edited book title to remove "Improvised"

The thinking among the paranoid, and started by Masood Araib (sp), is that using reloads will open you up to the "he was planning to do great harm to by using specialy constructed "more lethal" ammo". Along the same lines as using "Magnum" instead of standard ammo to shoot the turd, school of thought.

My defense? "I used whatever force I deemed a prudent person would use when confronted with a violent maniac hell-bent on doing me physical harm... and I neutralized the situation."
