I hear ya. Losing Dave Zein put a big hurt on the concealed carry ever having a chance too. Madison and Milwaukee(both pretty big college towns) basically run the entire state and there seem to be a lot of uninformed(or just crazy) people down in that area. There are good folks too, but a lot of different people.

My college had armed campus police and I never thought twice about it. But, because I'm on the GB forum that should be no suprise, and the school was in a small town in northern MO.

I bought a garand towards the end of my last semester and was in a criminology class. We were talking about theories of guns and crimes and later that day I filled out a 4473 to take my new toy home. When I said I was filling out the paper work for a gun later that day some of the people (alot of people were from st. louis and kansas city) were [:0].

KSU had armed campus cops as long as I can remember (parents used to work there, so I was on and around campus long before I went to college)

We also had a trap shooting club and a .22 range in the basement of the military science building, unfortunately the range was "inadequately ventilated" according to new regs so it was very limited use [V]
