Ex-Marine kills bear with log
But get this, it gets better!
This ex-Marine and his sons were confrotned by a 300 pound bear. The dad goes to the truck to get pots and pans to scare the bear off.
What does the six year old son do? He tries to scare the bear off on his own! When the bear turns on him, what does his brother do?
Run?
Nope.
Hide?
Nope.
He tries to throw rocks at the bear.
The dad sees this and immediately forgets the pots and pans and hurls a log a the bear's head and kills it WITH ONE SHOT!

From what I hear, there's no such thing as an ex-Marine.
But from the story, it's abundantly clear there are such things as "ex-bears."[;)][:D]0 -

What this story didn't mention is that the marine got a ticket for failure to secure his campsite. 0 -

One log, one kill - Semper Fi Marine [}:)]. 0 -
Once a Marine allways a Marine, no ex about it, not now, not ever ! 0 -
Talk about a perfect shot. That log had to hit in the right spot to kill a bear, skulls are pretty thick![:0][:0] Kinda like my ex-wife![:D] 0 -
quote:This one got a little too aggressive for me," he said. "If the bear had gotten near my kids, I would have just jumped on it. Knowing me, that's what I would have done, anything to make sure my kids were safe.he could have done the same thing with a knife, or, like he said, jumped on it and take his chances. 300 lbs is enough bear but that aint quite full grown. now if it was a full grown bear weighing twice as much or more, they would have been in some deep poo poo... 0 -

First off, apologies for using the phrase "ex-Marine."
It looks like this guy taught his kids right - they didn't run, which would have landed them in a whole lot of trouble.
And how do you secure a campsite from a 300 pound bear? I don't know of anyone who brings enough cinderblock to make an effective wall against that kind of critter. [;)]0 -
