Is there a Texas shooter's forum?
I am hoping to move to Texas west of Austin in a couple or so years and was hoping there was a Texas shooters forum like there is here in Florida.
If anyone knows of one I would appreciate the link.
I am mostly a sniper/rifle and C&R K98k Mauser person so am not really looking for hunting, pistol or shotgun forums.
My intention is to buy some out in the sticks land and have my own range in a semi-dry but not dried out decent weather pro-gun area.

www.ar15.com has forums for each state under their hometown forums.
The Illinois forum on there frequently has get togethers for shooting and BBQ's.0 -

Here in New Mexico we shoot Texans all the time, but we have no forum about it. no more something to brag about than swatting flies. 0 -

I am registering at that site pickenup although it is a hunting site which is not my interest.
However, close enough as they have many sub-forums and I would like to learn about Texas laws etc.

Whada'ya know bout shooten laws in the Austin area.
What restrictions on you own land, how far from a deeded road, how far from an occupied dwelling (neighbor).
My intention is to have what I need (and can afford) for a 200 yard minimum range preferably longer. I want west of Austin in higher less populated country.
