Grey goose claims that they are the best vodka in the world. I'm wondering of how that can be true of all the ultra premimums out there.
Since there is a lot of ultra premimums like 'The jewel of russia' and 'Efeen' I think it would be hard to make the claim. Do any of you think there is a smoother and better tasting vodka the the french run-away grey goose?

3 olives is really good as well. I don't put it better than Stoli though. It definitely is great for it's "price point" and is one of those I can drink most any time. I find absolute to be one of the worst for my palate.
Try the 3 olives flavors,...they are probably the best flavored vodka on the market today.0 -
I'm a Stoli fan; the Stoli Gold is really good. Grey Goose is OK, Belvedere is good stuff, Ketel one--I used to like it, prefer Stoli now.
One of the most interesting vodkas I've ever had was "Red Army"--the bottle looked like a big 7.62x39 cartridge...I still have the bottle. And, the vodka wasn't too bad, either. I would put it in the Skyy/Absolut zone.
There is/was a Russian restaurant in Boulder, CO that made their own vodkas...I don't remember the food too clearly, but I DO remember their honey-lemon vodka; man, that tasted GOOD.0 -

Russian vodkas like Stoli have a certain "bite" to them that is charactoristic of all Russian vodkas. Russians are serious vodka drinkers (although any Pole could drink a Russian under the table) but Russian vodka drinking revolves around eating snacks between shots and these snacks are typically mayonnaise based, which tend to coat your mouth and throat and providing protection from possible harsh vodkas (which Stoli is not). Poles also eat such snacks (zakasa) but these are usually pickled veggies or smoked meats. One of the better vodkas out there is VOX, it is quite smooth. The worst vodka I ever drank was Oso Negro, a Mexican vodka which could have been mistaken for paint thinner...Except that thinner is probably less harsh! Popov is probably the worst of the widely available brands here in the USA.0 -
I received a bottle of Grey Goose as a gift. Once it was gone , I refilled the empty with 100 proof Blue Label Smirnoff ($11 a bottle), and nobody could ever tell the difference.
My friends, who insist they're vodka experts still don't know!0 -
The Olives flavored vodka is the best. Ice them down and drink them straight, or over ice. The chocolate straight from the freezer goes down very smooth. 0 -
