It keeps messing up on the date. I am going to junk it real soon for another.
Not only does the date mess up but it zaps the bateries even while shut off. I have to pull the batteries out while not useing it.0 -

Yea I cooked them. I have gotten pretty good at southern BBQ since I moved here 2 years ago.
The kids eat it right up!

I'll get it out tomarrow for you. I have changed it a bit but use all the same stuff just the amounts I have changed to my taste on the dry rub.
I slow cook with lots of mesquite smoke. These spare ribs cooked for almost 3 hours. Normally I would go a little longer but my heat was a bit high tonight.
To be honest on the sauce I start with cheep kraft BBQ sauce and Dr. it up with various seasonings, worshishire(SP) sauce, soy sauce, and a must is Collmans Dry mustard.
It does turn out as good as most any BBQ place I have found and my nieghbors have said it tastes very authentic south.0 -
By the look on the kid's face, I doubt there were any complaints. [:D]

I have two complaints:
1: I was not there to partake.
2: I was always taught to eat with a shirt on, so it's a little irritating to me to see people eat without one. That's just the way I was raised though.
Edit: #1 carries much more weight than #2. By comparison, #2 is about as significant to #1 as a mosquito is to a blue whale.0 -

With something like ribs and a messy 6yo kid, no shirt can be better if there is no company here as I have to do the laundry and BBQ sauce can relly mess stuff up![:D]0 -

I was taught the same thing, then I got married and had my own baby...and the first thing I did????? Threw out half the stuff I was taught as a child....
I dont care one way or the other if the child eats naked in the tub, just as long as they eat....Clothes are not important but what the child gets into that tummy is important, and if a child gets covered in bbq sauce, chocolate sauce or has spagetti sauce comeing out their ears, thats fine and dandy by me, just as long as the majority gets into their tummy...[:o)][:o)]0 -
