What Idiots! I can't figure out why the owner was arrested? Is there a law about how much ammunition one can own? The owner looked as if he needed medical attention as they were dragging him away. I would like to smack that idiot reporter too! What Ignorance. 0 -
that pisses me off 0 -
Machine gun bullets????????????????? 0 -
OMG he had at least 20 rifle boxes with rifles in them. The man must be a homeland terrorist! [}:)] 0 -
A perfect illustration of the success of the socialist/liberal agenda in changing the fabric of this nation.
It only gets worse from here folks.0 -
The reporter showing the video was wrong about the guy being arrested then. He was trying to get back in the house while it was on fire, he was taken to the hospital.
However, it looks like he didn't have a permit for 75 pounds of blackpowder and 2 semi autos that probably didn't pass the 10 round max for comifornia.0 -
I wonder if the police had a warrant to search the home. Even if the FD reported it they(police)can't just barge in. He obviously did have some code violations if he had 75# of black powder but I don't believe that is a criminal offense. The press loves numbers as it adds hysteria. If they said he had 10 cases or maybe 50 boxes of ammo it wouldn't sound like that big a deal, but a million rounds is news. Machine gun bullets?? what caliber? 9mm, .45, .30, .50 ?
I bet the reporter doesn't even know what a machine gun is .0 -
the one logical issue here is that storing that much ammo/powder in a residential area could be a violation of some fire code.
Anything else is typical California BS0 -
The sheeple neighbors were disgusting.............
Screw you sheeple!0 -
Yeah, from one firefighter's estimate of "maybe a million bullets" to "millions and millions of machinegun bullets and shells." I have to admit that seventy-five pounds of black powder, if indeed that statement is ture, is a lot to have on hand. 0 -
Gosh, if your are a reloader and like to run off 500-1,000 at a time after setting up your press you could have a lot of ammo on hand. Especially if you target shoot several cal.
I do know many cities and states have laws about the number of primers you can keep on hand and the amount of lbs of powder you can own. It may be ten lbs in my area I am not sure.
Heck I probably have 10 + bricks of 22 cal on hand, since I try to buy them on sale. You can shoot up 500 rounds of 22 pretty quickly if a family of 2-4 heads off to the woods or your favorite target range.
Urban Dewllers have no clue about guns or ammo and its uses. This trend will be our downfall unless people are cycled through the military for training and learn about firearms.
They don't get the experience of growing up on the farms anymore and grandad taking them out as children to teach them how to shoot and hunt. They learn about guns by watching TV and from gang violence fighting over turf in their cities.0
