Any one else eat the whole peanut, shell and all? i like em when theyre salted on the outside shell.

just googled it, said that the shells are made of cullulose and full of fiber, it also said they will help make you regular. And down here in florida, you can get boiled peanuts at almost any gas station, i assume you eat the whole thing shell and all. 0 -
never heard of that. i have had boiled but we just threw the shells away! lol..

I knew a guy that ate bannanas, boiled eggs, etc. that way, didn't matter. Even saw him chew a 2x4 in half one time, eat a handfull of eathworms on a fishin' trip, etc. and the only thing that hospitialized him was a shot glass he crunched up. 0 -
Of course unlike termites humans don't have protozoans in their gut to digest cellulose, so it becomes what the older generation called "roughage." 0 -

I was heavy into the sunflower thing for a few years. Got real good at being able to put a handful in my mouth, store the unshelled on one side, shell em on he other side, while spitting out individual hulls. Never even crossed my mind to try them shell and all.lol
Edited to addz: only tried that once since getting dentures about 18yrs ago...just didn't work as well.[;)]0
