good fawn crop this year
Believe it or not here in "some parts of Jersey" we aint near the cities, thank God. Pics are from my lower "back yard" which goes well into the woodland I abut. So far have counted up to 6 fawns at time.
No idea yet of the count. Not sure of how many fawns are in the pic but should be at least 5 in this group along with the "first shift" of bucks and does. A suppertime enjoyment to just eat supper each nite and watch them as we eat. My days of hunting are over (damnit) but as this herd grows some move away and give hunters some good hunting. I figure this herd seems to stay around 35 to 50 and some move out to other tracts nearby. Bucks are still in velvet for a couple of months and antlers still growing. (Texas Wildman on G.B. has been coatching me for years).

Thanks for the pics, Joe. I just saw my first (of the year) velvet buck last week.
If you don't mind I'd like to use one of them as a background.0 -

Have Deer all around me here, but it's rare to see them just moseying around in the open like that. Saw one beside the road recently that was just watching traffic go by, but i figure it was possibly a decoy. 0 -
