Computer Problems....need help.

I'm sure it's just something stupid on my part, but I can't figure it out....
Everyone sometimes posts videos in www.youtube.com and I have downloaded the appropriate flash player. But, whenever I click on it I get this message:

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash...."

I have Flash Player 9 installed now. What is the problem? Is it in my security settings? ActiveX? [:(][:(]

  Turn Javascript on in the options under the tools menu (it's probably under the 'security' tab or something....I don't run Explorer).
  
  If you run Firefox, you may have to 'allow scripts' from this site (right click on the S icon in the lower right of the screen to do this).
  
  I hope it's one of those 'cause otherwise I'm out of ideas.

  Internet Options, Advanced---turn on all Java.

  OK....did all that. Still doesn't work. [:(] What else can I do? No, there isn't room to shove it there.......[:D][:D]
