Is there a way to donate....

.... a Norelco electric/cordless razor in very, very good cosmetic and operating condition? I would only consider donating to a worthwhile purpose, i.e to a man who can't shave or be shaved with a razor blade or to someone who just couldn't afford to own one.

Perhaps to a hospice or to a VA Hospital or to a seniors' home? I simply no longer reach for it over the beautiful mug and brush set and razor my wife gave me. Its the Quadra Action Model 6865XL and still sells for between $100 and $130.

The razor is about 6 years young and I replaced the three heads about a year ago. The batteries accept and hold a charge very well, last about a full week on a charge and the razor also runs corded on AC. Tried it this morning and it gives a really close shave. Has a pop-up beard/moustache/sideburn/eyebrow trimmer, nice ergonomic feel to it, nice plastic hard case and a nylon bristle cleaning brush.

I would of course clean the cutters and screens thoroughly with alcohol. New cutters cost $30 but these are in truly excellent shape.

    my fiance recalls a place called "helping Hands" they aid those that are in hospice care or are disabled. but she doesn't remember their ###. they are a community org that is church sponsored. she thinks they are national. maybe you could give it to them. we'll see if we can find out more info for ya.

    But will they actually accept it? It is, after all, a used razor.

    Well, the nonsense and red tape of going through the VA is more than I care to deal with and I've run out of ideas.

    Will anyone raise their hand if they know a person or organization that I can send this razor to AND who actually wants it?

    And it's kind of pointless to give it to a homeless person only because it requires electricity for recharging at some point after the batteries run down.

    I only use elec. shavers now and could use it. Quit using blades a few
    years back when my hands quit doing as they were told.
