put the truck in the ditch...
put the old dodge in the ditch tonight. was getting on the interstate and hit a patch of ice and spun about 450 degrees. another truck was right behind me and started to spin so i drove into the ditch so he wouldn't hit me. the guy wouldn't even stop to help get out. had to call a tow truck to get out because there was about 4" of mud under the fresh snow. what fun i had tonight.

I am glad you are OK.... Look at the bright side, a truck in the ditch beats a sharp stick in the eye everytime. [:D] 0 -
I never wrecked that truck in 7 years of driving it, you have it less that a year and your blowing out ditches. I sure hope you didn't scratch that fantastic paint job.
Got Guns?0 -
Any chance you two know each other??

glad you're OK. I would have stopped to help, but.....0 -
after inspecting the truck i did get some damage. it is about 1/2" deep scratch on the box. 0 -
Glad to hear you are OK. It's sure no night to be sleeping under the bridge around here either. The call is for up to three inches of sleet, a half inch of freezing rain, and twenty to forty MPH winds tomorrow. That kind of weather is tough on the livestock.
We have about a half inch of sleet right now.0 -
Well that's real good, a scratch in it. Do you know how bad that will hurt the resale value of that truck? Maybe if you wouldn't have been so tight at the auction, you could have loaded it up and had some weight in the back. Oh well, I'm not gonna rib you anymore since I know you had your wife with you. How'd she like the ride?[:p] 0 -
Down in Collinsville, Illinois I once got stuck on the side side of the ice road. I couldn't make it up the road and just gradually slid off the side of the road.
Once I stopped, gave up the fight and shut the engine off, a car started sliding down the hill. He was uncontrolled and sliding sideways right at me. I grabbed the steering wheel and braced myself for the impact. As the guy slide down the hill one thought flashed through my mind.
"No use praying. God's not going to stop this car accident from happening." Momentum and ice means this guy is going to slide into me.
He made an abrupt stop about a foot and half from my front bumper. Ground wasn't frozen underneath the ice and snow.
Real weird after having that thought.0 -
wife didn't freak out until about 10 minutes afterward. i thought it was a fun ride. 0 -
Are you still in the ER?[:D][:D] 0 -

I spun my truck around last month. Bent the frame smashed rear and front Quarter panels and some other stuff. Got it back 2 days ago and it don't drive the same. She has a shake between 55-65 mph. Now she is tainted and i don't love her anymore. 0 -
Sliding on the ice sucks cuz it feels like an eternity and all you can do is hold on for the ride. 0 -

Ahhh, Collinsville. My hometown, and can remeber some slippery
times there also.[;)]
When the weather would get bad around here, I always went out in search
of people to pull out of ditches, etc...loved it.
Had a harsh storm here in the early 80's with about 6" of snow and ice.
I was easing into a tight S curve and heading right at me (at a high
rate of speed) was a truck that looked much like LOKO's "RED".
Luckily he knew very well how how to drive, and mashed heavily on the
gas...throwing 25ft. rooster tails, but pulled himself back into his
lane.0
