Good Brittany breeders?
I used to have a Brittany growing up and it was hands down the best dog I've had. My rotty is getting old and I'm thinking about starting to look into breeders to plan buying a new dog when this one dies.
Anyone know of a good breeder that sticks to the breed standards (show quality) yet still gets birdy pups?

there is a breeder a few miles from me. he is more into bird dogs than show but most of his dogs are breed standard from what i looked at(size mainly). i had a female and used one of his males to stud. temperment and personality were key to me. we ended up using his pet rather than one of his kennel dogs. his pet Buddy goes every where with him and has that bond we were looking for. we could not have been happier. His litters are usually sold well before they are even born. i believe he now has about 8 females and for males. all the male blood lines were pretty good but not the best. more field champs than show. is is part of the American Brittany club(i think that is the full name). i had 2 litters with my female. first was with my fathers male befrore he passed simply to get a pup from his great hunting and temperment. the second was because we had so much fun raising the first litter but old gus was gone. here are some pictures from the second litter that we paid for the stud

Beautiful pups bpa098! I had a Brittany years ago that was also the best dog that has ever owned me. IMHO, they are the prettiest, most loyal dogs on the planet. Mine was named "Patton". Orange and white. Still miss that dog. He wasn't the best hunter in the world, but filled my needs, but he was a great friend. That is something I admire about that breed. Most hunting dogs are hunting dogs first. But a Britany really wants to be a good pet, and if they love their owner, and the owner loves them, they will hunt their hearts out for them. Bpa I love that second picture down. Notice the tail straight up, that screams of attitude my old dog used to do that all the time. The third pictue down my dog did also. I would call him up and he would jump into my arms doing that and I would cradle his butt haha.
They are good dogs, my dog was named Sky and he would wander the woods with me. He would stay ahead of me out there but always come back and check on me. In the town he would always stay in a heeled position and right by my side. I don't think I ever had him on a leash unless I was training him to hold firm on a point.0 -
