Took the wife out
I took the wife out to our property in the sticks last weekend. It`s not often that she goes there with me .Usually I go alone. Anyway,sitting on a bench by the woods I started to put in ear plugs and she looked at me kind of funny and said what are you doing? I said nothing and handed her a pair of ear muffs and she said "Oh". Where is it? I pulled back my shirt and showed her my Ruger Gp 100.After I shot s few I asked if she would like to try.I figured she would say no,but she said sure. I let her finish most of the rest of a box of ammo and by the time she was through she was hitting the center of the target.Not bad for someone who`s never shot a handgun before.
When asked if she liked it she said it was ok and she`d like to do it again. We`ve been married 26 yrs and she has never shown any intrest in shooting. I went out today and bought a nice Ruger SP 101 in 357. A new toy for me and my new shooting partner.

She shot a 22 once back when we were first married.She didn`t think it was a challenge knocking apples off a tree. I never thought I`d get her to even try a handgun.
