It's ugly, plastic, and it doesn't function nearly as good as my Kimber. [}:)]

Optional carry for me. I chose to carry my Kimber Eclipse when in uniform and when I am in plain clothes I carry my Kimber Ultra Carry II.[^]

I've never understood the attraction for them. [B)] It's got to be a "civilian thing" (not knowing what it's like to have to "depend" on your sidearm). Most miserable firearm I was ever forced to carry. Wait until you have one "frag" in your hand, then you'll love it even more. [V]

    * I actually hope you never have to experience it. [;)]

The last time at the range I had a stovepipe not as big a deal as my fellow officer that had the receiver fracture in his hand. Not real harm done but it did hurt his hand some [xx(]

Send the Glock 22 my way I'll take good care of it. I'll agree Glocks aren't the best looking guns around, however I've had the least trouble with my Glock then any other pistol I own and I own most of the top brands of pistols. My Colt Defender has been a real pain in the butt with jams and other stuff. Got it worked out now though.

I know about 30 Town LEO's who are extremely glad their Chief is replacing their Beretta 96 with the Glock 22.

This is a true statement. Many departments continue to opt for glocks because they are cheap. The Missouri department of corrections just switched to the glock 22 from s&w .357 revolvers. BIG mistake. Many of the woman and some of the limp wristed men can barely work the slide. (some woman operate these guns wonderfully, I'm not knocking female shooters) Then they added a level 3 Bianchi holster to this nightmare. Bare in mind these people shoot 2 days a year and can't take their weapons home. The dept. is more afraid that these officers will allow someone to grab their gun and shoot someone (and being sued) than than they are that these under trained officers will not be able to remember how to operate their fancy level 3 holster under stress. Bottom line is most departments, which answeres to one kind of board or another, are only interested in saving money.

Saying a Kimber is better than a Glock is like saying a Harley-Davidson is better than a Suzuki. It is completely ridiculous but some people will believe it until their dying day. No amount of tests or statistics or anything else can convince them otherwise. Japenese motercycles are also a lot less expensive than Harleys.

Well I do like my Glocks, but my Kimbers are Rolexs and my Glocks are like a Timex, when you compare quality and accruacy.

As far as Harley vs Suzuki. I let the US sales numbers cover that issue. I think Harley is outselling all the other bikes combined so I guess all the wise old bady boomers with the bucks are not very edcuated.[:D][:D][:D] Suzuki is 4th string at best![;)]

My point exactly. A Rolex doesn't keep any better time than a Timex. It just shows how much money you have to spend.. And my stainless steel $150 Seiko would take more of a beating than a gold $5000 Rolex any day of the week. And as far as Harleys, amount sold doesn't eqate to better quality or technology or performance. I bet they sell more Timexes than they do Rolexes[:D]

I don't know anything about watches or motorcycles. I do have plenty of experience with both of these handguns in the field and on the range. To sum it up, you're just wrong. No matter how you compare a glock 22 and a kimber custom classic (except for a lower purchase price) Kimber wins hands down. [}:)]

It's like saying what's the best music? It's just a matter of opinion. I like Glocks and you like Kimbers. You will never convince me otherwise and you as well.

That's why I put the little [}:)] with my post. I don't expect to change your mind, just prove you wrong. [}:)] (by the way gun quality is not like styles of music. There really is a better gun) [;)]

The only reason why Harleys sell better is the stigma. If they had to rely on the bike other then a "I'm so cool" toy from what I've heard they would buy foreign cruisers.

Harleys are a $10,000 motorcycle that people pay $20,000 for. They are WAY behind in technology. Their big announcement this year? ABS is available as an option! I had a 1987 BMW K100 with ABS. They are planning on finally getting a liquid cooled engine in 2010. My 1987 BMW was liquid cooled.

Reminds me of a Drag race we had at the old Rialto Raceway. It was between a Kawisaki Ninja 250 and a Harly Sportster 1200. he Ninja was bone stock and was used as a daily driver by the gal riding it. The Sportster was set up with a stage 2 kit and all the goodies like a light flywheel, plus it was the high compression duel plug model. The rider also raced this Sportster at El Mirage.

The Ninja won 8.70 to the Sportster's 9.40 (8th mile), but the sprotster sounded better going slow then the Ninja did going fast.

So do I but I would have gladly traded the Beretta 96 I had to carry for the Slob, err Glock. Its unfortunate that our equipment is too often chosen either due to cost or politics rather than quality, usefulness and longevity.
