Well, it's official........
..this is now the worst fire season on record here in Montana since 1910! The records from then aren't that good, so it may actually be worse than that. We've got fires burning all over the state, most are assumed to be from lightning strikes. Last year we had a whacko 19 year old start at least nine fires in the Bitterroot and surrounding areas. He will never see freedom again and will spend the rest of his life in Deer Lodge Prison. I believe arsonists should be set ablaze. [xx(]
I'm on call again and expect to be going out to work on the 18,000 acre Seeley/Jocko Lake fire this afternoon. Fortunately, we're expecting a little rain today (which will help as long as wind isn't accompanying it). Please keep Montana and it's residents in your prayers tonight. We really need it!

On a more serious note, I'll definitely keep the Montana residents in my thoughts and prayers. Fire danger is scary stuff, we have enough experience here in Colorado.0 -
