brighter side...
this week started well, its kinda giving me a swelled head.
first i returned the smiths checkering tools i was practiceing with over the weekend and showed him the latest attempts...and HE was impressed. really made my day to hear that!
got home that night and a buddy the wife worked with years back, (havent even HEARD from him in about 8 yrs) is there. swapped hunting stories over coffee for a while, showed him my recent repair/restoration jobs and he asks if i want a couple more to work on. "sure, and ill do them for cost for the extra experience"
turns out he meant do i WANT them, hes not sure if they even function, but he will drop them off if i want them.
then tuesday i run into the smiths brother, says he and everyone who came in mon and tue "heard all about" the great checkering and stock work the "new guy" is doin and how it will soon be an offering again through the shop! head swelled a few more hat sizes agai hearing that!
wed (today) wife calls me to ask "you dont want a hot bklueing set-up do you?"
is she nuts? turns out our visiter mon knows a guy "used to do" blueing and just gave it up, he is checking to see if he wants to get rid of the equipment...cant wait to hear more on that one!
whew when things happen they go fast! just hope even a small amount of it follows through
