800,00 Pounds (about $1.6 million), 1000 bhp, fuel consumption that allows only 12 minutes of driving and tires that last under an hour at top speed? Damned right I'd like to have one! An F-1 car would be much faster than 253mph but it must deal with the drag penalty inherent with open-wheel designs. Generally speaking in order to double the top speed of an automobile the amount of brake horsepower produced by it's powerplant must quadruple. Not an easy task but engineers (not all of whom are idiots or talk out of their a$$es) are up to the task...When money is no object! 0 -

the transmission is handmade, earlier prototypes kept getting ripped apart by the 1000 hp.0 -
I want one[:p] 0 -
I really don't give a damn about performance cars but I gotta say....that show can make even me care. Awesome clip. 0 -
I'd love one, but you have to wonder about a car that you have to stop and enter a code if you want it to go faster than 230 MPH....lawyer speak for "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here". That and the test driver (a former F1 driver) spun it one day when it tried to take off like an airplane...(at a little over 230 MPH)...then he walked away from a multi-million dollar contract, saying he'd never drive it again. I still think it'd be pretty cool to own one though. 0 -

BAD A$$ RIDE![;)][:D] but i will take the money instead[:D] 0 -
It would be my luck to run it up to top speed and a deer steps in front. I'll let you drive it and I'll just take the money[:D][^][:p][:D] 0 -
I always knew there was was a good reason to be a backstabbing, greedy, no good, do anything it takes to get to the top kinda guy. This is it? I wonder if it is to late to get started. Wow I thought I heard Robert Johnson saying come on down... it is worth it....
Just kidding.....0 -
[8D]-My XTERRA will go that fast, but when off-road it's hard on suspension-!!!

Daytona here we come.[:D] 0 -
wow....that made my eyes water......geez....no wonder they made the spoiler retractable and the suspension compressable. if they had stayed at normal drive heighth that car would had come off the ground. 0 -

There's alot of potential for it above 230, alright. Like the Odd Thomas quote, BTW. I'm a big Koontz fan.0 -
Wait until the "new congress" sees that video. There will be a big bill coming down the pipe to limit HP![:0] 0 -
That sure ain't nothing like granny's grocery getter!![:D][:D]
I'll be ordering mine tomorrow[;)]0 -
Smashing video. 0 -
I want one...! There's some nice stretches of road in the Great Planes that would be perfect for that car. Just imagine if you hit a deer at that speed! [xx(] 0 -

You'd probably never know it.....right through your windshield and out the back of your head before you could blink....0 -

My adrealine was pumping for him. That was amazing...a Production car going that fast is really awesome. I am almost speachless. What can I say that hasn't already been said. I wonder how many of those cars they actually built? 0 -
Someone must have bought the trademark and started up a new company because Bugatti had been defunct for many years before the 1970s. Condec in Connecticut owned the "assets" which consisted of little more than a few files of correspondence and some trinkets with their logo.
I wouldn't want to be going that speed anywhere near ground level.
Hitting a sparrow could spoil your afternoon.0 -

Bugatti is owned by Volkswagen AG, as well as Audi, Lamborgini, and others.0
