Hah, funny. I am actually looking at a different route via Santa Fe, to Houston then make a loop and come back via Albuquerque and on West, unless there isn't much to see around those parts too...

seriously, if you're going to do that, there ain't nothin' but wheat fields and cattle skulls all through kansas and down to oklahoma city. (wichita! wowee!) you'd go through oklahoma city, then thru dallas, then to houston, you could spend a day or 2 in each of those places and see stuff but there ain't nothing in between but a whole lot of nothing. you'd probably be better off just heading south to check out colorado springs and pueblo, going thru some beautiful country, and going thru santa fe to get to albakerkie, and save yourself days of pointless driving. unless you really want to see okc, dallas and houston. but you're going to pay for it.

Well, I am actually heading out of Colorado Springs, so right now it looks like I-25S then whatever the roads are to Santa Fe/Albuquerque, then Houston, San Antonio, back to Albuquerque and on to Page.

I figure I can always drive around Eastern CO and KS if I get too bored sitting in CoS [8D].

Thanks for a good pointer, it does make more sense to skip KS and OK this time.

This is the route, so far.

whatever trips your tigger, there isn't much to see in KS/OK/TX except for what's in those cities.

CO/NM is different, at least you got some countryside to look at. I went from Denver thru NM to Dallas, and I really liked CO, couldn't tell where on the map the good stuff stopped but it ended up looking like the planet Tattooine before I made a left and started going thru Texas.
