Now that you have a cat you need one of these. Bought it on fleabay and the cats love it. Came by Fed/EX yesterday, $55 including delivery and got it within 3 days.
Only problem is that it is more suited for cats around 5 pounds or less. All the accessory items like the little house and the hammock are to small. It still allows bigger cats plenty of places to perch though.

Don't leave the forum. Your participation has been and is still good for all (including yourself). There are so many members here that piss me off, but I can get even with them whenever I feel like lowering myself to their levels (which is fairly often). Fortunately, most of my experiences here have been good and I'd bet yours have been too. The few punks that ruin it for everyone else are just that, "punks" (and punks will always be punks). Remember that most of the trouble makers wouldn't have the balls to say half (at best) of what they say in person, compared to how rough and tough they try to come across online. At least, not without swallowing a little pride (along with some blood and a few teeth). Again, take a deep breath, step back and check in again later. Have a good afternoon. [^]
