A man has been charged with a cheesy snack attack on his dad, police said.
The weapon? A bag of Cheetos.
Patrick Hamman, 22, of Des Moines, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault after he threw a bag of Cheetos at his father, Michael Hamman, hitting him in the face Sunday night.
The bag hit his father's glasses, causing a cut to the bridge of his nose, police said.
The police report said "Michael's T-shirt was also covered in Cheeto dust."
Police said Patrick, who lives with his father, admitted that he was on methamphetamine at the time of the argument.

A man has been charged with a cheesy snack attack on his dad, police said.

Not so long ago officers responding to a call such as this would have given all parties involoved a good dressing down and went back out on patrol. NOW? They waste valuable hours and waste taxpayers money following thru with chit like this! It's FREAKIN NUTS!!
...It's like the domestic abuse crap that has gotten WAY out of hand in the last several years. Dont get me wrong, any man that lays a hand on a woman and I see it, though none of my business, Id be all over the scum bag coward, damn the consequences to myself legally.
...Crap, a man and woman can get in a heated argument and JUST touch the other...and one or the other or both can be arrested for domestic violence! ...and a domestic violence charge is a gun loosing serious charge! ...and of course the time, taxpayer money, cops kept away from REAL crime by handling this situation, comes into play once again!! Christ almighty it's gotten BEYOND out of hand.

The legislators passing laws that compell cops to treat this type of chit like a hot damn murder?? The politically placed police Chiefs?? WTH is making the cops go thru all the costly time consumming motions in totally NOTHING situations of this nature??

Had a friend to interfere in a domestic squabble and he woke up in the hospital with a concussion,broken ribs,flattened nose and an ear ripped about half off!
While he was busy punching the guy the woman hit him in the head with a chunk of concrete! Then evidentally both of them took turns kicking him in various places!

Yesterday a 10th grader was charged with a Felony because someone saw a swiss army knife in his car.
A few months ago a woman was charged with assualt by missle for throwing a 12 ounce McDonalds cola at a moving car for cutting her off.

WTH!!!! A felony over a Swiss Army Knife??That blade length is legal everywhere I thought and the assault by missile is obsurd. I cant say much when I was younger my cousin and I couldnt come to terms on a topic so we went out in the yard with it and the neighbor called the cops to break it up,both of us said we didnt want to press charges on the other for anything and the cops still charged us with mutual combat and took us both to jail. 0 -
