The national unemployment rate is 4.7%.

The economy is not that bad. It used to be said that any unemployment below 5.4% is bad. It would cause inflations as employers are forced to bid artificially high for labor.

The plus side for the weak dollar is manufacturing jobs has as source of protection. Imports cost more. This is good for industries like steel.

Economy in USA is great, they lowered the interest rates again, dollar is weaker than it has been for a long time. I just read in the news that USA was the most competetive country in the world.

"Experts" are already stating that the housing market will be turning very soon for this region.

These experts should be flogged for their rotten expertise.

I'm in st. louis. I met a lot of people while trying to get my first job here. I asked 32 people, "do you like it here? all but 2 said no. (anywhere from 'not really' to 'I've seen better' to 'hell no')I asked them what they think of the job situation. they all said it sucked.
