Picked up a new titanium cue stick today. Can't wait to try it out.

i have 2 doug patricks w/ ivory inlay, they cost a guy 1,250 bucks to have custom made, i got them on a hell of a deal for far less

Zulu, get a good cue. Look up Meucci, starting out $300 or less.
A pool shooter sees you coming with a metal stick you'll get eaten alive, one way or another.
My old favorite was a Brunswick one piece 21 ounce that I actually carried from bar to bar, until it got broke. That was followed by a stick I bought from a guy for $25. He said it had a "pragmatic" shaft. He meant "impregnated." Shaft is straight as an arrow, butt has a corkscrew warp. I'm thinking my pragmatic shaft on my Brunswick butt.
I shot with a Balabushka some years back. It was a 19 ounce but to pick it up you'd think it was a 16. The guy was an artist. Beautiful hand inlay. Real old school craftsmanship.0 -
Meucci M-10 here. My brother bought a table and the shop owner gave us all 50% off any cue in the store. Mine was $350, got it for $175 That was back in the early 90's. 0 -
I'm not a pro, or even competative by any means when it comes to pool. I'm just tired of going places and having to use el-crapo cues that have more curve to them than a compound bow. 0 -

here's mine, the bud's a 21 oz. glue-on tip I got for 45$, the generic is a 20 oz. screw-on tip I got for 20$. I played in the university pool tournament, was in the top 4 so we all got a free trip to compete for our school in the regionals at KSU in Manhattan, KS. they got this huuge game building, we would have been on ESPN but they decided to go in the next room (!) and cover the bowling tournament. I lost on a technicality on the first game, got spanked on the second and was out. but ya know what, I played mostly with the Bud, but when I knew I had to make a shot I used the generic- it actually shot straighter.
I like meucci's and mcdermott's, don't like joss.

Story Of The Best Pool Stick I Ever Played With!
I went to a job interview in Evanston, WY, and the screwball who owned the place gave me this book to read. he wanted me to study it for 4 days and come back and tell me everything I learned from it (how to do the job). he payed for the hotel for me to stay in for those 4 days. (told ya he was a screwball) anyways, the other guys working there were into pool. so I read that book all day, at night I had enough and went out to party, thought I'd bump into them and play them some pool. I didn't find them, but I went to this hole in the wall called "The Veranda", being early in the evening nobody was there but this gnarly looking poolstick leaning up against the wall. I got a table and played pool with myself for a while, and that was the best dang stick I played with anywhere!!
the owner of the stick came in later, so did everybody else, we played some pool and they whipped my ass like it was nothing, they were just having a good ol' time getting buzzed and jamming on some beatles.0 -
I shoot a graphite stick that I really like. Can't remember the name of it, tell you the truth, I haven't played in over a year. 0 -

Haven't shot a game of pool in probably 15 years and much. much longer for 2-cushion billiards.
But when I did play pool fairly regularly 35+ years ago, I had a fairly nice two-piece custom stick that I bought used.
Honestly, some of the very best games I ever shot were the ones where I used the single-piece bar or poolhall sticks right off the rack.
Maybe the warp in the stick made my "english" more pronounced. [;)][:D]0 -
