Bashing Gun makes
I think it's important that everyone refrain from bashing brand a or
brand b unless they have actual experience with a particular firearm.
This way we all will make informed decisions when we decide about
purchasing a particular firearm. This works well at other forums

I have a friend who has a Bryco 9mm that will not chamber even the first round. Now I won't say anything bad about it since I've never fired the pistol, then again my friend hasn't either. So I guess neither of us should comment on it. [:p] 0 -

Hey, man.
I've owned a Jennings. Rather, my then-fiance did.
They do suck.
I know a guy that won't say that Jennings suck. Because he's dead. The Jennings that killed him evidently functioned perfectly.0 -

Nonetheless, it would be the last gun I would ever trust my life with.0 -
Like DWS, I know everything about guns, and everything else. I'll have to look through my safe before I answer the question. Of course what I have are the very best ever made in this country or the world, if I don't have them, then whoever does is gay..
I'll let you know later where you stand..[:D][:D]
Sheepman, all in fun now. Don't start insulting my mother and my ancestors back to the 1400's, ok?0 -

I would agree with that statement, Spike.

I usually don't endorse or defame any gun that I don't have direct experience with. Even then, some disagree. There are a lot of Glock lovers here, and mine was a total piece of junk. There are a lot of S&W haters here, and I have never had a bad one. So how can anyone know what to trust?0 -
I saw an interesting case on TV last week involving a Jennings .22 semi-auto. It was one of those real life who-done-its on one of the Discovery channels.
This woman shot another woman in the back of the head with the Jennings. It didn't kill her and the gun jammed. She couldn't clear the gun for a second shot so she used it for a club and beat the other woman to death with it.
The bullet was to mangled for a ballistics match, but when she beat the other woman with it, she created enough other forensic evidence for a conviction. She got twenty to life.0 -
I sincerely don't see anything in his post that would teach (most of us) anything.

Cool... having had hundreds of guns. I could slam a bunch. But tha Absolute worst I have ever owned is a Hi-point 9mm pistol. In fact I can prove and have proven that a 6 dollar plastic Marksman dart gun from Wallyworld will produce a tighter group @ 40ft than the Hi-point!!!
I have owned over a hundred handguns and the High-point is without a doubt the worst I have ever owned or shot!!!!0 -
Why has no one mentioned the "ship anchor" that makes a Hi-Point shine?
Stallard Arms. The chumpiest pistol I ever saw. Pot metal, striker fired, heavy, and awkward.0 -
I own quite a few guns. I just bought a C9 Hi-Point for the he77 of it. The gun functions great. It shoots as well as I can, which isn't saying much. They are good guns.
If any of you guys want to get rid of your Hi-Points,Jennings, or Brycos PM me and I'll have an FFL sent to your FFL.

I didn't make any decision or offer an opinion. I just relayed what the prosecutors and forensic guys told the court.0 -
Worst I ever had was an RG .22 funny looking pistol that came with a tackle box I bought.
Fired it once and the hammer broke!0 -
I've shot Jennings. yes they're cheap and they jam, but there are worse guns out there. but nothing better for the price. what other .22 handgun are you going to buy for 40$?? it goes bang more often than not, it's not likely to blow up, spare mags are cheap, it's not hard on the eyes, feels good in your hand, and goes almost unnoticed in your pocket when you're walking around. WHAT is so bad about that? I would say that jennings are good to have, when you get one for what it's good for. cheap, comfortable plinking.
all these ppl that keep bitching about how "cheap and unreliable" they are, fine, go buy a frikkin' gold plated HK. to compare a jennings to all the other legitimate self-defense handguns, is to confuse the issue. apples and oranges.0
