What would you do? UPDATE!
I have a gun listed here on GB and the auction ends in 9 hours+-. An NR bidder places a bid THEN asks a question. He e-mails me back that he then needs/wants to withdraw his bid. I e-mailed him back saying go ahead, I don't care but next time read the description! "ask any and all questions PRIOR to bidding"
Now, he hasn't withdrawn his bid yet and I think I should just block him. What do think? I don't want him to play games close to the auctions end.
Thanks,
Ed
O.K. the auction is over, he couldn't rtract his bid and my block didn't work on him. I guess too late! Now, Is there a way for me to contact the next highest bidder to offer the gun to him?
All help is greatly appreciated,
Ed

I'd just block him and avoid the hasstle! 0 -
Gunbroker does not allow bidders to withdraw bids. Maybe someone will outbid him.(fingers crossed) 0 -
once he places a bid, you can't block him.
example: I had an AR for sale, not allowed in certain places. I said in the description, if you live there, please don't bid. some dude emailed me, "hey, I live there, can I bid anyways?" I said no, then the c.s. emailed me again "I placed a bid anyways, thank you!" I looked and sure 'nuf he did. needless to say I didn't sell it to him "anyways". but you know GB took their percentage "anyways", once a bidder bids you can't block him or have it removed.
what you can do (but still get charged for it) is cancel the auction and start over, the high bidder will be the 'winner', but then you can block him/her/it when you put it back up.0 -
I wonder why nthere is a "block this bidder" button next to the high bidder then? 0 -
try it and see what hapens, if it works you oughta be able to UNblock him if you change your mind. 0
