i went out and checked this morning were i had left the injured bunnie, it and its sibling were gone. seen momma rabbit this evening and soon as she seen me she took off in high gear

This is a strange dichotomy - people that love to hunt, getting disturbed over the fate of a game animal.
I'm not saying it's bad, just that a lot of people would really see that as messed up thinking.
I think it is a good display of our real respect for the animals.

realy dont know if she rejected it or not , both bunnies were gone from their original nest

DOUG when i hunt i always try to make a clean kill. when and if i injure an animal while not huntting it bothers me. thank you for your post

At least you tried. And if both were gone the momma probably moved them from the disturbed nest site. I wouldn't worry too much. You'll probably see them again (in your sights next hunting season).[;)] 0 -
