Well I figured it out,.....
it ain't so much of aiming as it is to just pointing real good.
You see, I'm a .22 rimfire kind of guy and there is not much more in shooting that I enjoy as much as having a 525 round box of Remington .22s wanting to be shot.
I've got a few .22 pistols and rifles, your Rugers, 10/22 and MK II, among a couple more.
I wanted a .22 revolver, just to play with, so I bought a pair of Heritage Rough Riders. Now they are a "hoot to shoot", but I could not hit sh! T with them.
At 100' I can move a plastic bottle with the MK II, but at 25' I could not hit the ground with the Heritages.
Well, over the weekend I quit aiming and started pointing with them at about 25 feet.
Both eyes open, looking at the bottle, using "the force" to point and POW! Moving bottles.
In closing, when I shoot my other .22s I'll aim, but when I shoot the Heritages, I'm just gonna point.

When I was a kid I had a rem bolt action rifle that I got pretty good
at shooting from the hip with. Could throw a piece of bark in the
creek, and knock it back out as it floated down stream.
The "good ol days".[:D][:D]0 -
Get a copy of "No Second Place Winner". Good read on the basics to close range pernt and shoot handgunning. You can also get ya a Red Rider, knock the sights off (like they really do anything) and practice perntin' and shooting with it. You would be amazed at how adept you become at the "art". 0
