Case brand Knife
With so many current U.S. knife companies staring to make their knives in china it seems this is one of the few who hasn't yet. Does anyone know how Cases current line of knives are as far as quality. I personally have never owned a Case brand knife. I was thinking of getting one of their hunting styles (for deer hunting) as gift for someone for christmas. The only other knives I was looking at were the ones made by Marbles. Any other brand suggestions would be helpful.[?]

Anything case made after 1979 lacks the quality .. Stainless blades as compared to carbon steel.. In fact Case is now made by Zippo manufacturing, Cigarette lighters and such.. 0 -

Case knives aren't too bad. And, they still make carbon steel blades.
Marbles is a good heirloom quality knife that anyone would be proud to own.
I sure like the Ka-Bar carbon steel, leather handled USMC knives made to original specifications. They have a long 7"+ blade and a smaller 5"+ blade version. I personally would not buy the higher tech versions with the serrated blade and the plastic handles.
Moore Maker knives are Texas made knives and are a favorite amongst cowboys. Another heirloom in the making, I think.0 -
Case knives are the cats meow. Sharper then heck, well made. 0
