Foil, butter, lemon pepper should be a start.
maybe some dried parsley or whatever herbs you like.
I wouldn't go crazy on the spices though, because I like the natural flavor of salmon.0 -
I use a cast iron griddle. Set the grill at 400, spray some Pam on the gridde, season the salmon steaks to preference, I use a creole on one and lemon pepper on the other, than put them skin side down on the griddle and close the lid. The temp in the grill will cook the top half while the heat from the bottom will cook it. I will let them go til they are almost done than flip them for a couple of minutes. Dang tasty. 0 -
I use a Cast Grill over charcoal.
I use an even blend of Parsley, Basil, and Oregano with some salt and Paprika.
Brush the Salmon with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, then sprinkle the spices on. I also use some crushed fresh garlic and sprinkle a little of it on as well.
Spray the grill with Pam, 4-6 minutes a side.0 -

sounds like a real good place to start. i will have to add quite a few spices on at least one piece, the wife doesn't like fish to taste like fish . sometimes you just dont understand them[:D][:D]0 -
Cubs had a good suggestion,.....make mine like that a lot!
Also you can never go wrong using Old Bay seasoning, and lemon.
I also use pesto sauce brushed on top sometimes too, but it is largely olive oil, and basil, with pine nuts added into the mix,......and garlic!
Any of the methods will be good![:p][;)]0 -

Aluminum foil on charcoal grill; salmon basted with melted butter/lemon juice; sprinkle with rosemary; skin side down; mesquite chips give it a good flavor; don't turn until at the last of cooking; skin will usually stick to foil so when turning place right on top of skin piece.
