I'll be there in July, and will be sure to stop in.

I'll be there later this year, thanks for the tip. If any military history types are in Saint Louis a good stop would be the Soldiers Memorial in downtown not too far from the River. I don't know how it stacks up to the New Orleans museum, but it's set up nicely.

A historic collection in New Orleans concerns me.
I believe we lost a valuable Civil War collection there already.
National treasures should be maintained in lowest risk facilities
    in low risk geographic areas.
While you're in the area, do see the Pensacola USN Aviation Museum.

Well, v35. Who else has a museum dedicated to WW II? It was just in the last few years that a memorial was erected for our WW II vets.
The museum originally started out as a showcase for the Higgins boats. The museum is in the old Higgins building. Everything else just grew from there. The museum is secure. You need not worry about that. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this project.
While ya'll are visiting NOLA, don't dare miss the oppurtunity to have some charbroiled oysters from Drago's in Fat City. Theyr'e not in the "touristy" part of the city, so you ned to get some good directions. And they are closed on Sunday's (so that they and their employees can be with their families). I tell ya, you CANNOT miis the oppurtunity. Them ersters are to DIE for.[:p]
