$200 for a permenent hitch and installation is not that bad.

I got my hitch from here and put it on myself - about 1/2 hour.

Why are you going to UHaul? Try a truck accessory place, or a welding shop. Materials should be under $100 and labor about $50 if that. My experience has been that UHaul has usually been 1 1/2 to 2 times as expensive as almost any other place.

Don't know what kind of outfit you have, but if the trailer is a you say "huge", you may be in for some added expense for spring assist shocks or a load leveling hitch and either will be as much as the

you also need trailer light will U-Haul include them in the $200?

Are there any RV/camper dealers nearby, they might be more helpful and cheaper. The flunkies they have at U-Haul around here have a hard time helping a person carry the boxes you just bought from the store to the outfit let alone wiring or installing a hitch.
Just a couple copper Lincolns from me.

On second thought, maybe I'm off base . Is this going to be a rental receiver and hitch, and not permanent ??
    Inquiring minds want to know?

make sure it is a custom fit hitch. If it is a universal hitch then it is not a good deal at all.

An escape is probably only have a class II or I hitch. Tongue weight rating of 300#'s or less. I don't know how much your "go kart thingy" weighs, but make sure the hitch is up to task.
