It seems strange looking out my window now!
Yesterday I finally fixed the dog kenel and got the dogs in there.
Now sitting at my computer seems stange as I cannot see them from my window here.
It is kind of a science to get them in there though as one of our dogs is the jelous type if you are paying attention to the other and will try to tear him up, and I have to seperat them to feed them as the jelous one will also do the same over food.
I have to put the more timid one in the kenel first while the other is chained up, and then go back at put the agressive one in last and then they are fine and will get along.
These dogs are brothers and have been with each other all thier lives so it seems strange to me that the one will fight like he does, but such is life.

in a "pack" someone always has to be the dominant one,and the submissive one, even though they may see you as the "leader" there is still a ranking or pecking order to follow, they will have a few knock down drag outs over food and space someone will give in eventually, Loko [:D] 0 -

Yea I've got a brother! And yes we did get in our share of fights as kids!
But as we got older those fights stopped!
I think some of the problems would stop if I went and got them both cut![;)]0 -
I'll tell you what!
It don't take the squirrel's long to figure out that the dogs are not in thier normal spot!
There are 3 of them running around where one of the dogs were right now!0 -

yea some of the problems would stop and if you give them extra exercise this will help too,let the kids walk them on leashes, mow a path around your property ie like a walking path and let them take them on walks, good training for the dogs and the kids learn how to control thier pets, can they handle them? after you get the initial burst of energy out of them you will see them start to unwind and listen to you and the kids,be repetitive with your commands and make the kids use the same ones a little exercise other than normal goes a long way! They get plenty of exersise. They do not do well on a leash, but I do let them run around the property (3acers) here most every day. They are both good about not leaving our property unless they are left unatended for a long period. And even then they do not go all that far that you cannot call them.
Pretty much they do not fight unless you give them something to fight about. Running around together and such they are fine.0 -
cool, i know my two are wild if they don't get to bust it loose everyday and run it off [lol], yea food and space are issues w/mine too as they are sisters, but one usally gives and we use two food bowls to cut down on the fighting, Loko[:D] 0 -

Exactly.
Back when my brother and I were talking (it has been 12 years), we used to fight all the time.
My brother would have sold me to gypsie slave traders for a bottle of cheap beer -- and I am not joking.0 -
so who is the dominate brother after the fights stoped? 0
