MARYLAND GUN LAW

i had a guy tell me that he would like to have an AK 47,but he couldn't have it do to STATE LAWS. i thought you could own one in maryland as long as it did not have a high capacity mag.COMMENTS PLEASE

    are u in Maryland, if i was him i would go out of state if possible and buy one there since you can buy long guns out of state.

    yell no i don t live in maryland. i live in WV.but the guy who wanted to buy the ak lived in md. he told me that he could not legally own one due to state regs.. he also told me that he worked for a ffl dealer in md.

    I live in this crap hole of a state(Maryland). And I have purchased 3 AK's that where FFL transfers. 20rd mags are the max thanks to the Beretta factory located here, or it would be 10rd max.

    In Md. AK 47s and certain other semi autos, generally with detachable mags and pistol grips, are "regulated firearms" by law and are subject to the same requirements as for handgun purchases. If your friend can legally buy a handgun he can buy an AK 47. Sale or transfer of mags to non-LE that hold more than 20 rounds is illegal, but possession is legal.
