CROSSFIRE 12 ga. over 223
just wondering if anybody out there still has the crossfire 12 ga. over 223 it was a PUMP gun. i had one about 8 years ago and the factory had it more than me. it is a shame the manufactors of this weapon couldn't have taken a little more time in their research and development

I wanted one until I found out that the .223 was pump and not semi.
There was one at the gun show this weekend they wanted $3000 for it. Just smiled instead of laughing since I was in uniform.0 -
I was interested in buying one back in the day, but fortunately the gun store I frequented would NOT order me one - said they had one in before and it had been sent back for repairs way too many times.
I'm no gunsmith or engineer, but surely it can't be that hard to make a Crossfire-type gun that actually works? And I'm not talking about slapping two guns together like those retarded Masterkey shotguns for AR-15s... I'm talking a true blue multi-caliber weapon that doesn't need Picatinny rails to stay together.
And the OICW sucks, too (before anyone decides to bring up that POS).0 -
when i first seen the gun in a popular science magazine , i wanted it . at that time it took me almost a year to get it.they were handed out to the military and to police agencies first then to the public. i paid $1800.00. the short time frame i had mine the manufacturer had it mor than me. they ended up giving me 4 guns. i never fired more than 200 rounds through any of them.when i got my fourth gun back i never opened it till i went to the gun shop and traded it for a bushmaster. i am in no way trying to influence any one about these guns. this is from MY personal experience. as for the GB listing i had no idea till that spider guy posted 0 -

yep they had me at AR magazine campatability but lost me at pump...
was the one you saw the factory winter camo version, I thinks it's rare(r).
???the remington pump .223 seems to fetch a goodly price.

actually when i bought mine the factory recommended not to buy the camo because they were having problems with the paint interfering with the mechanism of the weapon . IMAGINE THAT 0 -

It can be done, but I have a feeling the feds discourage such things.
Wasn't the Crossfire originally planned as a semi rifle/pump shotgun
combo? Thought I saw a catalog to that effect a few years back.0 -

i am not sure about the semi auto.but i do know when they were were first made , right before they were offered to the public they were recalled because the selector switch had a problem which would allow the 223 and the 12 ga. to fire at the same time0
