Many times. Just be sure you have several $$$$$$$$$$$$$ before you start because you will need them.

My experience, wasn't positive. Either folks had very exaggerated value(s) on very common stuff. Or they deliberately attempted to deceive. I drove 30+ miles one dark and stormy night to see a "rare" German Sniper rifle. It turned out to be beat up Model 1893 Spanish Mauser, that had been drilled and taped with a Tasco scope. After a while I just quit putting adds in the paper, It wasn't worth while.

Nowadays with everybody on the net, your just wasting your time. I run into these old chogers at flea markets and shows, who give the appearance of being functionally illiterates, living in a shack without indoor plumbing. They will be bragging on how many thousands of dollars they made, selling high-dollar guns on the on-line auctions.

Good morning. Your second sentence: "I have started the process of getting my ffl and trying to support my habit of guns." What type of ffl are you applying for?? If a standard license like Joe in the gun shop has, forget it. Maybe the first thing you should do is sign on to the ATF website and print off a copy of federal laws. It is not legal to acquire a standard ffl for simply purchasing firearms and a lot of folks can probably fill you in on the types of things the federals look for. You must be in the business and have a business address, not just a room off the garage, ie, be in the business of buying and selling firearms for a profit and making a living. If applying for a type 03 Curio and Relics license, that's a different story but....so are the categories of firearms that you may acquire under that license. Kind of like the girl friend saying "You can go out with anyone else you choose as long as she is 50 or older". Gives life a whole new meaning........... but a lot of fun. Don't mean to rain on your parade.

    Regards, Bob

I want to purchase firearms with the intent to make a profit. This requires me to have an ffl. I am required to have a secure place to hold firearms and to have a storefront batf in boston mass tells me that an online store is satisfactory i also have to be in compliance with all local and state laws which i have researched. And plan to abide by. And dont forget the tax id number. They dont make it all that easy to get an ffl but it seems like its not unreasonable.
