it's a tough road to hoe, but somebody has to drink it.

    Crown Royal Special Reserve.

There is also a super premium scotch called Royal Salute by Chivas Regal.

It is, unfortunately, the only scotch I can stomach.

    That's why I don't drink scotch.

I think Canadian Club, Mc Naughtons, of course Crown Royal. Around here if it is Canadian it's Rye. All Rye is blended unless it says straight Rye, like Old Overholt. Best with a litle water, or Ginger Ale, or stright. In Canada Whisky is Rye and Whiskey is Burbon, unless it is Scotch.

This man knows his whisky. Royal Reserve is a brand of Corby's, a Canadian distillery who's spirits are not widely marketed here in the States. While not bad at all, I find RR suprisingly sweet, not like Jameson, but nothing at all like Crown Royal. Although I am a hardcore bourbon and scotch drinker (I need something to wash down all of the vodka) I like a good rye whisky and enjoy Crown Royal or Canadian Club. I also love peppery taste of Old Overholt, which is, IMHO, the classic rye by which all others should be judged [:p]..
