Just came in from the doctor

...and God-almighty was his office nasty! LOL! JUST KIDDING! About the dirty office, not about going to the doc. Got all hooked up to a new insulin pump. Don't know if I'm going to like this or not. Feels strange having something attached to you all the time. Oh well...maybe it will help my blood glucose levels, which even with insulin shots, had gotten way out of whack.

    DANG USS55840! That sucks! Sounds like highway robbery! But then again...the US has the best medical system in the country! [xx(] I had been driving about 160 miles to an endocrinologist, but we FINALLY got one in my town. From the Philippines (sp?) Very nice guy. Loaded me down with free samples, plus gave me a new monitor that is compatible with his computer system. I can e-mail my readings to him after I download the meter to my computer.

    you should have gone to Cuba or Canada, they would have hooked you up with a better pump for FREE! and faster also

    Don't know about getting it faster, but would have gotten it for free in Cuba or Canada or England. But that's OK. I don't mind paying nearly $1500 per month for insurance that barely covers the necessities. And yes, my insurance denied the claim on the pump. Said it wasn't necessary, even though the doc thought so. Oh well...as I said earlier, the US has the BEST health care system in the world.
