Thieves Steal Computers, Guns--Even a Puppy!
Doobie was stolen right out of a Saluda County family's home.
(Saluda County) - The Saluda County Sheriff's Department is investigating a string of church and home break-ins over the past week, and they need your help finding suspects.
Sheriff Jason Booth says four churches and seven homes were broken into over the last week. Booth said five of those homes were burglarized Monday. He said he thinks the same people are responsible for each of the incidents.
Investigators say in each of the break-ins, the front or back door was kicked in.
"It's very obvious they don't have a conscience," said Cyndie McCormick, a burglary vicim.
Her home is one of two on Pencreek Road that were burglarized. Investigators say the suspects stole a gun and a stereo from one home.
In Cyndie's house, deptuies say the thieves stole a puppy, a computer, three DVD players, a Playstation game console, various games and movies.
Cyndie says her family can live without the electronics that were taken. It's her dog Doobie that she'd do anything to get back.
"Right now, if they'd pull up here and give me my dog, I'd load up everything in that house for them, and never speak their name to nobody," said Cyndie.
Investigators say the suspects are armed and dangerous. They say there have been a total of 12 firearms stolen, with one of the firearms being stolen from the Pencreek residence burglarized Monday.
Deputies say they are looking for two black men and a white woman in a silver or gold SUV, with the woman possibly driving. Booth says the men typically rob the places, while the woman acts as a driver.

Burglars love to kick in the door.
You need to have a deadbolt installed with 3 inch #12 screws, four of 'em.
If you are in a place with a lot of burglaries, get one of those glass storm/burglar front doors from Lowe's for $350. It goes in place of the screen door. Can't pry it, can't kick it in because it is made of plexiglass.0 -
