Gun question
More specific and Egyptian Hakkim (sp?) . Friend of mine was out yesterday shooting and every 2nd or 3rd shot didn't discharge. Upon inspection we notice the casings that had fired had a deeper dent in the primer than the ones that did not fire. 2 questions, do you think this is a firing pin/spring problem? And if so, anyone know where to get parts at a reasonable price?
Thanks

agreed could be a magazine problem, or something else causing it to fire slightly out of battery, could be as simple as left over cosmoline keeping it from going into battery, i would start with a complete break down and cleaning, lubricate, and then try it again paying close attention to the bolt being fully engaged 0 -
You need a stiffer hammer spring to punch the primers on some 8mm, try Romanian light ball, they have a thinner primer and sure fire every time. Stay away from the Turk surplus, too hot and will beat your gun apart unless the gas valve is modified. 0 -
