Is there ammo out there more expensive than this for one round?

I love how this guy dicribes the cartridge:
quote:Single round of 700 Nitro Express with the HOLLAND & HOLLAND 700 headstamp probably made by B.E.L.L. some years back. Copper jacketed soft nose bullet, the case has a few very minor spots on it that will clean off well. READ THIS BEFORE BIDDING. This ammunition is OLD STOCK AND CANNOT BE GUARANTEED SHOOTABLE OR EVEN SAFE TO SHOOT
His statement of it being made "some years back" and "old stock" are just laughable, the 700 NE wasn't even developed till 1988!!!0 -
+1 thats what I was wondering
That is acutally a fair price for 700ne!0 -
I'm certainly not up on "rare" rounds. Can someone explain to me why I'd want to spend $75 (opening bid) on a single round? 0 -
It seems to me that for around $500, you could buy a mini lathe and some bar stock of brass and copper and lathe turn your own stuff. It would pay for itself in like 8 rounds. 0 -

The main reason someone would want to buy his is so they can have the largest of the Nitro Express rounds in there collection. There are many people that collect different cartridges so this is one way to buy one.0 -
I've got Nitro Express shotgun rounds. I've got boxes and boxes of them. They don't seem rare to me. 0 -
well, IIRC they origionally sold in boxes *(hardwood) of 2 for $400 0 -
