SIG 226 Laser Site Opinion

I've just purchased a SIG 226 for my CC / Protection. Im considering purchasing eiher a Crimson Trace Laser Grip or the Internal Laser Site for this gun. Does any one have any experiece with these? Are they worth it?

From my perspective I like them cuz its a point and shoot scenario but on the other had its a dead give away as to where the bad guys need to shoot.

Any help would e greatly appreciated...

  I had Crimson Trace on a Smith .357.
  
  Got rid of it.
  
  Worked poorly in daylight, and pointed a big red arrow at me at night.
  
  Besides, I found I didn't think much of a battery operated revolver.

  I have had the internal LaserMax in my 226 for years. It is a great TOY to play with. I use it to shoot competition, when we set up a low light stage. For FAST target acquisition, without having to aim, it can't be beat.
  
  As stated, if there are ANY particulates in the air, the beam can be traced back to the firearm, giving away your position to any bad guys. Like Doug said, the FIRST time you try to use it, in a real defense situation, you KNOW the batteries are going to be dead.
  (Only had to replace the batteries once....so far)
  
  For a real life scenario, I use a handgun that has good night sites on it. Only the muzzle flash will give away my position. By then, it will be too late. [;)]
  
  If you are looking for a GREAT toy, get the LaserMax.
